The council welcomed a Sri Lanka Exporters' Delegation
that visited Toronto from October 25-29, 2011. A power
seminar was organized by the council on October 26th at
Ontario Trade & Investment Centre in downtown Toronto.
On October 27 morning, one-on-one meetings took place.
In the evening, the council hosted a dinner reception at
which occasion H.E. (Mrs.) Chitranganee Wagiswara, Sri
Lanka High Commissioner was Chief Guest.

roundtable discussion with Canadian High Commissioner Bruce Levy in Toronto
on Friday, November 4, 2011.

The annual general meeting of the Canada-Sri Lanka
Business Council was held on Saturday, April 30 at the
Sheraton Hotel in Markham.
Mr. Upali Obeyesekere was
Elected President of the Council for 2011/2012 and
Will have as his Vice President Ganesan Sugumar.
Mohan Perera of M&M Twins Limited was elected
General Secretary while Nalaka Weerasinghe is the
Treasurer. Ranjit Wickramasingha is the new Director
Membership while Lalith Wickremasinghe, Ranier de
Lambert, Roshan Navaratnam and Rohan Perera
were all elected Directors-at-Large.
